"Platform" means the Academia web application and related services. "User", "you" and "your" means any person or entity using the Platform.
You may use the Platform only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the Platform or help others do so.
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
Paid features are provided under a separate subscription. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with notice where required.
The Platform and all related intellectual property are owned by the Company or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you upload; you grant the Company a license to operate and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for other legitimate reasons. On termination you must stop using the Platform and any unpaid obligations remain payable.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Company. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts agreed in those laws.
